Discover the potential for interdisciplinary applications of printmaking on textiles in this weekend-long intensive! Participants will explore how silkscreen monoprinting techniques can be combined and applied to textiles to produce one-of-a-kind prints that go beyond the traditional format of printing on paper. This workshop aims to allow both beginning printers and experienced serigraphics to engage with expanded conversations in fine art and craft. Participants will explore silkscreen monoprinting processes and methodologies, including stencil printing, watercolor monoprinting, and non-conventional approaches using drawing media, and their applications beyond two dimensional presentations. Prior experience with screen printing is not expected and participants will receive full process instruction.
