In this workshop we will cover the basics of weaving, and different techniques to build dimensional cloth on and off the loom. We will discuss weaving with unconventional materials, fiber properties, tapestry techniques, and double weave. Together we will follow our intuition, get scrappy, and create things we could never have imagined. Participants will be encouraged to tackle a personal project using the techniques of their choice. Come with an open mind and heart, and with a curiosity for fiber and woven structure. Weaving experience is helpful but not required- beginners are welcomed!
