Image Statement: Tear, a homograph, depicts my anguish for the rending of my illusion of our social fabric. The original flour paste resistpiece illustrated the fracturing of the surface. Slashing the piece allowed me to reverse applique the brilliant scarlet dupioni, the wounds are now exposed.
