Image Statement: This piece reflects my deep respect for the oceans that sustain us and my concern for the health of our coral and kelp beds. Our beautiful ocean is now contaminated with a giant flotilla of plastic the imperils birds, wild life, and humans. It will continue to grow exponentially unless we take drastic measures to reduce our plastic waste and to clean up the mess we have already created.
