Image Statement: In Greek mythology, Atropos was one of the three Moirai goddesses who decided the fate of humans. Her sister Clotho spun the thread of life. Sister Lachesis measured the length of that life. And It was Atropos who chose the manner of death and ended the lives of mortals by cutting their threads. I’ll Fly Away #7: Atropos is an improvised design created with hand-dyed silk fabrics and hand-embroidered with cotton threads also dyed by the artist.
