Interrupted, 2023
Paracord, thread, hand stitched 14.5” x 19.5” x 9.5”
The making of this piece was put on hold for over a year, when I tore my rotator cuff. No matter its original intentions (which I no longer remember) all I know when I see it is that its process was interrupted.

Paracord, thread, plastic extruded fruit netting, hand stitched, 12.75” x 12” x 5.25”
I think a lot about the status of our changing climate. 'Winter' records the 'upside downness' of what winter has become where I reside. Frequent burn warnings are more reminiscent of summer. Dormancy and sky are all the landscape will provide when the precipitation is at a deficit.

Waiting in Repeat, 2021
Paracord, thread, hand stitched, 12" x 8.5" x 7"
The pandemic brought themes of loss to my work because of all it took from so many. Continuance of normal was not to be. COVID effectively put life on hold as it took people places and things from us. 'Waiting in Repeat' was completed in the winter before vaccinations were common. At that moment life seemed an endless loop of sameness and loss. All there was to be done was to sit and wait; wait for spring and wait for change.

No Exchange, 2022
Paracord, thread, hand stitched 15”x 13” x 13.5”
This work was begun in 2021. It is a reaction to the political mess America had been in for some years. The title 'No Exchange' refers to an internalized feeling of 'stuckness' born from a lack of communication on all sides.

Back To The Beginning, 2022
Paracord, thread, hand stitching 14.5" x 16.5"x 6"
Navigating life's challenges can be difficult. Among all the ups and downs it sometimes feels as if one gets sent back to the beginning.

Wole, 2018
Paracord, thread 21" x 17" x 9"
This sculpture was created after I experienced a tremendous loss. It began themes of circles. The emptiness which the circle contains has the intent of describing loss. What comes to fill the void that once was occupied? The search underscores the absence.
