Nod to Suess, 2023
Watercolor paper, Acrylics 9.25” x 7” x 7.5” H
9.25” x 7” x 7.5” H A little bit of Suess-like whimsey made with paper, a more contemporary material, while utilizing traditional basketry techniques and form. This piece makes me smile and ponder the joyful hours spent reading silly picture books to children.

Shrouded Ferns, 2021
Watercolor paper, Acrylics 6" x 11" x 12.5"H
The Wisconsin forest is carpeted with ferns and delicate woodland flowers while the canopy cloaks the woods in darkness. This piece is a woven slice of that complex ecosystem I love so much.

Saturn, 2019
Watercolor paper, Acrylics, Jasper Beads 6.5" x 6" x 4"
Much of my work is somewhere between traditional and contemporary. This piece was inspired by my fascination with ancient pottery, traditional basketry forms and my obsession- weaving with paper. The melding of these is an elegant and timeless vessel.
