Quilting with Naturally Dyed Fabric
In this workshop, you will learn how to dye fabric using natural materials and then use that fabric to create your very own quilt. You will learn the whole process of natural dyeing, from scouring and mordanting the fabric to creating dye baths with various natural materials. We will then use the fabrics to learn all aspects of quilt making from cutting patterns, piecing a quilt top, and quilting a quilt of your own design. We will be piecing the quilt with a sewing machine and hand quilting our quilts. Prior knowledge of natural dye or quilting is helpful, but not required for this workshop – beginners are welcomed.
