I am thrilled to have discovered Spoonflower, just by chance, on Facebook. I have been painting on textiles for over 30 years and about 10 years ago began my love affair with silk. I now paint almost exclusively on silk, mostly scarves that I purchase ready made. I have always wanted to be able to reproduce some of my designs rather than sell them as one-of-a-kind pieces, as the patterns are so wonderful. It seems that I have 2 choices- either do a piece that I could duplicate easily and sell fairly cheaply, or else invest a lot of time on a piece, then frame it and sell it as "art" rather than art to wear. Now it seems that I will be able to reproduce some of those designs to sell as limited editions perhaps. I can't wait to get started. What a fabulous idea!
